What the price has to beat
A single vendor switch on a single high-volume line usually covers the year. The first pass over The Lakehouse's menu saved $177,000 in annualised margin, which is the number this page is really being compared against.
Butter at 640 lb a month, twelve cents cheaper per pound from the supplier you already use for dairy, saves $921 a year. That is one line item on one invoice.
The nine hours a month somebody spends typing invoices into a spreadsheet is the other half, and it is the half nobody puts on the P&L.
03 — The trial
14 days, and no card
The trial is a real account with 25 documents and one location — enough to cost a menu, not a demo dataset. Nothing charges when it ends; the account goes read-only until you decide.

The API and the MCP server come with it
Mint a token in Settings and point Claude, Cursor or your own agent at the server. Every read and write the app performs is available as an MCP tool and as a REST endpoint under the same schemas.

What if we go over 500 documents a month?
Nothing stops. It is a soft cap — we get in touch about volume rather than refusing your invoices on a Friday night.
Does the price change when we open another location?
No. Locations are rooms inside one organization: one login, one report, one bill. That is the entire reason the plan is priced per organization.
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing is charged and nothing is deleted. The account goes read-only until you subscribe, and unused trial days carry into the subscription.
Can we cancel?
Any time, from the Stripe portal inside the app. You keep read access to everything you have already put in, and CSV export stays available.
How does this compare with per-location software?
Most food-cost tools charge a few hundred a month per site, which is what pushes multi-unit operators back into spreadsheets at the third location. Here the second and the tenth room cost nothing extra.
Is there a discount for paying annually?
Not today. One number that is easy to reason about beat a discount grid, and monthly with no contract is a fairer trade while we are young.
